There is a known issue in Schedule 1 right now where the Botanist fails to work. Yes,. imagine your hired employee isn’t working properly.

But before you pull our the gun to deal with the situation, rest assured, the Botanist isn’t doing this on purpose to hurt your business empire. There is a bug affecting the Botanist in Schedule 1.

Due to the bug, the Botanist is not working and not properly doing his assigned tasks. The Botanist either ends up standing idle or stuck in some kind of loop.

You may see him repeating the same task over and over again or doing nothing basically. There are four ways to fix this problem but I am going to give you the best fix for the Botanist not working issues first.

Recommended Fix

The only fix you need that works 100% percent of the time is reloading your save file. This will make the Botanist work again. However, if for some reason this does not work for you, try the other three fixes I’ve listed below.

Fix #1: Check for Blocked Path

If you see the Botanist standing idle and not doing anything at all. Check if something is blocking its path and movement. Sometimes your employees, including Botanists, can get stuck in objects.

Find and remove the obstruction to fix the Botanist’s movement.

Note: Don’t forget to check if any task is assigned to the Botanist. If no task is assign that could be the reason he is standing idle.

Fix #2: Reassign the Botanist

If you see your Botanist stuck in a loop doing the same task over and over again, like tending to the same pot or growing plants etc., then the fix is to assign that task to another Botanist and get the problematic Botanist out of the process for a while.

Reassign the broken Botanist to a different task. The Botanist who’s not working should get back to work properly this time.
