I’ve spent about 50+ hours in Stalker 2 by now, and I can safely say that inventory space is one of the most annoying things in the game.
This is especially true when you are on your second playthrough and use cheat codes to spawn weapons, armor, artifacts, and other items.
The inventory space fills up quickly, it is not even funny.
So, if you want to spend a ton of time playing this game and are planning on using cheat codes, you absolutely have to use every method of increasing inventory space in Stalker 2.
How to Increase Inventory Space in Stalker 2
There are primary ways to carry more items in the game:
- Artifacts
- Hercules Consumables
- Upgrading Armor and Gear
- Stalker Suits
#1: Find and Use Artifacts
I think the easiest way for anyone to increase inventory space in finding Artifacts. According to the game’s lore they are anomaly items that are used for multiple types of stat boost as well as increasing inventory space.
There are four artifacts that do this for you:
- Flytrap
- Goldfish
- Sprint
- Stone Blood
You can spawn them all by using artifacts cheat codes. Or you can find them in the open world, IGN has a detailed list that explains all locations.
I recommend getting Sprint and Flytrap first because they give you the highest boost. You can find them near anomaly locations in the Zone or as I said, learn how to use console commands for easy access.
#2: Hercules Consumable
If you are in a situation where you need a temporary boost in inventory space, then there is no better option than to use Hercules Consumables. This item allows you to carry 20kg more for 10 minutes.
This comes in handy when there is an item you want to carry but have no space and can’t dump important items already in the bag.
Hercules Consumables are found in crates and among dead bodies etc.
#3: Armor and Gear Upgrades
Armor and Gear upgrades are natural ways to increase carry capacity in Stalker 2. Speak with a Technician to upgrade armor. You need to get Coupons and requirements resources including Blueprints to upgrade these items.
Again, you can use Blueprint cheat codes to get the required Blueprints or find them through main and side missions.
Each certain upgrades you can increase inventory space about 10% each time you upgrade.

#4: Get Stalker Suits
There are a handful of Stalker 2 suits like Wanderer’s Suit, Cuirass Exoskeleton, and OZK Explorer’s Suit that increase your carrying capacity in Stalker 2.
Stalker Suits are usually found in loot crates, and some are unlocked through side quests.
Summary of All Known Method of Increasing Carry Capacity
Method | Nature | Requirements | Effect |
---|---|---|---|
Artifacts | Permanent | Exploration or cheat codes | Increases capacity (e.g., to 86kg with Medium) |
Hercules Consumables | Temporary (5–10m) | Found in crates, dead bodies | +20kg for duration |
Armor Upgrades | Permanent | Coupons, resources, Blueprints, prior upgrades | +10% capacity or weight reduction |
Stalker Suits | Permanent | Loot crates, side quests | Increases capacity inherently |
Stash Management | Not direct increase | Access to Private Box near bases | Stores excess, manages weight |
