A high team level is extremely important in Destiny Rising, as it is necessary to unlock several story quests, farm high-tier loot, affects your Power level, and more. There are many ways to gain Team Levels quickly in Destiny Rising, and this guide will take you through them.

Team Level is just like character levels, just for the whole team. The more Team Level you have, the more your character’s attributes will be increased, like Base Health, Shield, Defense, and Strength.

It also enhances your Privilege Effect, increasing the rewards that you get from completing activities and challenges. But the most important reason to increase your Team Level is to unlock story quests, as the game won’t let you progress any further with a low Team Level.

As you might have guessed, you pretty much can’t progress with a low-level team. Let’s see how we can make our team stronger and increase the Team Level.

How to Increase Team Levels in Destiny Rising

StageFocusRecommended Activities
Early (1–70)Rapid progress and system unlocksMain campaign, character quests, exploration
Mid (70–80)Efficient grinding, breaking capsAdventures, bounties, weekly Legendary, Gauntlet
Post-Cap (80+)Optimize gear and powerGear upgrades, endgame farming, PvP, side systems

Note: Team Level caps at 80 for now. Any XP gained beyond the cap unlocks instantly after the daily reset.

Your team is still stuck on a low level? Try the following methods:

Complete Bounties: Hunting both High and Common value bounties is beneficial. Higher Value bounties give you pretty good rewards with high XP (1200 Team XP), while Common bounties can give you Glimmer and some high-tier loot via Engrams as well.

Through Quests: The most obvious and best way to earn XP is to complete quests, both primary and secondary. Primary Quests will give you a ton of Team XP, and secondary ones, like side quests and daily quests, upon completion, reward you with decent XP as well.

Through the Exploration Activity: Exploring different areas and interacting with collectables can give you a good amount of XP. Open your map and select the respective Exploration activity, and then just follow the map, and you will gain Team XP.

Adventures: There are different activities you can do to earn a ton of Team XP under the Adventure mode. So don’t forget to do them.

There are some other activities like the Morgan’s Prey, which are a pretty good source to farm a ton of Team XP. A one run can give you around 2000 XP.

To get the maximum results in a low amount of time, try combining these methods. By completing High Value Bounties during activities, you will get a good amount of XP while saving time as well.

One more thing, the max Team Level in Destiny Rising depends on the server you are playing on. The current max Team Level is 80.

Bonus Method: AFK Farming in Destiny Rising

Apart from the four ways we talked about above, there is another method that is AFK farming. However, you first need to reach level 20 and unlock Iron Commander. It is a passive feature that transforms downtime into valuable in-game gains.

Here’s how it works:

  • You can send up to three fireteams of your Lightbearers on 24-hour missions.
  • These missions run automatically, earning resources, XP, and materials—even while you’re offline.
  • The stronger your Lightbearers, the harder the missions they can tackle—and the better the rewards they bring back.

This basically turns idle time into passive flow of upgrades, reducing reliance on dailies for progression in Destiny Rising. There is a daily cap to how much can you earn to progress but even when you hit the daily Pinnacle Energy cap or can’t log in, the Iron Commander keeps progression rolling.

Passive resource generation supports gear upgrades, character unlocks, and expedition preparation.
