There are 25 characters in Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma and 15 of them can be romanced by your character. To romance each of the 15 characters in the game, you need to increase your bonding and intimacy level with them.
It takes some time to form a bond with a character due to numerous choices and companion quests you have to do. While you can romance multiple characters, it is best to focus on the ones you prioritized.
The first step to increasing your bond with any character Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma is to unlock them. Each romanceable companion in the game comes with a red bar while those you can’t romance have a green bar. This makes it easier to differentiate between them.

How to Increase Bond Fast in Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma
The following are all the ways you can work on increasing your bonding level with characters.

In my experience, the most effective way out of the 5 is combat. When you reach bond level 1 take your companion out to battle enemies across the lands.
But if your goal is to romance then you also need to work on something call intimacy. The intimacy stat requires you to complete companion quests.
Some companion activities are restricted to ones per day:
- Dancing
- Daily Chat
- Handout
I recommend talking to the character ones per day and during these conversations try to figure out what they like to do. Characters tell you what they like and if you do those activities while hanging out, you’ll increase the Bond levels much faster.
You can also figure out the items they like, for example, Ulalaka likes to drink. So giving them drinking items works great. Lastly, you can learn a lot about a companion character from their character screen, so always pay attention to that.
Finally, giving them gifts and hanging out on their birthdays is a huge boost bonding and intimacy levels.
