Workforce plays a key roll in your success in Frostpunk 2. They are one of the most important resources in the game so naturally, all players wonder how to increase their workforce in Frostpunk 2.

There are multiple ways to do this and each off them is very easy to implement. In this guide, I will take you through 5 easy easy to increase your Workforce to get the best results in Frostpunk 2.

The game allows you to expand your workforce through 5 methods which include managing active workers in Districts and building Air Transport Hubs near productive Districts and exploring new areas and promoting population growth.

#1; Reduce Active Workers

While this sounds like the opposite of what we are trying achieve here but hear me out. We need to reduce active workers it some of the districts. Mainly the ones that producing excess resources for you. That means that this district has more worker then it needs.

Then shift those workers to the areas where you need to increase your workforce.

Click on any active District and reduce the active workers using the dot slider. This is a simple method. Lets say you are producing 500 Materials but only 300 Food. The best thing to do is to shift your Workforce to Food Production to increase it. Make sure to look at the total Materials stock before making the decision.

You don’t need a big surplus of anything.

#2: Use Air Transport Hubs to Increase Workforce

Go to the Idea Tree and find the Air Transport Hub under the the Hubs section.

Research this to start building an Air Transport Hub near Districts. This will bring down the Workforce Requirement for that District. If you manage to build multiple Air Transport Hubs you can really free up your Workforce for better things.

#3: Laws to Reduce Workforce

In Frostpunk 2 there are laws that can help you deal with the Workforce problem.

  • Family Apprenticeship: Allows children to work alongside their parents, increasing the percentage of active workers. This law is particularly effective early in the game when labor shortages are common.
  • Dutiful Youth: Enables the ‘Youth Volunteer Duty’ ability, which, when activated, boosts the workforce. Additionally, it slightly decreases crime rates.
  • Communal Parenthood: Significantly increases the percentage of active workers but marginally decreases population growth.
  • Outsiders Law: Pass “Allow Productive Outsiders” law to increase the inflow of people coming into your Districts. This will increase

#4: Use Workforce by Exploration

The exploration of new Frostlands areas depends on having sufficient Frostland Teams available. The construction of a Logistics District above an Old Waystation becomes necessary.

After establishing the setup zoom out completely to see the entire map with its surrounding areas. Choose a location before finding the Frostland Dwellers icon which shows people with a plus sign.

The Frostland Dwellers icon signals an opportunity to welcome new settlers who will enhance both your population numbers and workforce. The decision to bring in outside settlers should be approached with caution because internal population growth might be more beneficial.

#5: Organic Workforce Growth

The final method is to simply wait for the Workforce to grow organically with your progress. This happens as your population grows over time. Pass laws that support Population growth in Frostpunk. Go for Outsiders Laws and research Parenthood to increase the population.

Combine all 5 methods to really give a boost to your Workforce in Frostpunk 2.
