In most RPGs life is easier for thieves but not in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. If you have stolen items in your inventory, they will be marked red. Most merchants and traders you visit won’t accept these items so you may think they are useless, but that’s not the case.

You can still make a profit by steeling items and selling them, all you need to know is where and how to sell stolen goods in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

How to Sell Stolen Items to Merchants

As the title if this guide says, there are three ways to handle stolen items. Here they are:

#1: Wait 1-2 in-game Weeks

The first method is to wait 1-2 in-game weeks after hiding your stolen items inside your player chest. What is a player chest? Well, when you rent a bed/room in any inn for the long term you get a chest to store your goods.

Hide your stolen items inside this chest for 1-2 weeks and eventually the red marker will disappear which means you can now sell these items to any merchant in the game.

#2: Sell Stolen Items to a Fence, Kreyzl, Devil’s Den Innkeeper

The second method of selling stolen items in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is going to the Fence.

Fence Whitebeard in the Nomad’s Camp, west of Troskowitz will accept any stolen good in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

But what you need to know about this method is that you can’t get more than 240 Groschen for the items you sell to Fence Whitebeard. He only carries 240 but his money refreshes after some time.

Another merchant is Lower Semine’s miller, Kreyzl. Kreyzl is one of the quest givers during the Wedding Crashers quest.

Lastly it is the Devil’s Den innkeeper, in Kuttenberg’s northern region, this merchant buys stolen goods after confessing to shady dealings during dialogue.

#3: Invest in “Partner in Crime” Speech Skill

There are two Speech stat related skills that you can unlock at Speech level 20. Invest in “Hustler” + “Partner in Crime” Speech skills to sell stolen goods to any merchant in the game.

  • Partner in Crime (Speech Level 20): Unlocks the ability to sell stolen items to any merchant without penalty. Level Speech by completing dialogue checks and quests.
  • Hustler Perk: Grants bonus Thievery/Stealth XP when selling stolen goods, improving profitability.

#4: Trick the Merchants

If you sell goods to one merchant frequently then they are far less likely to investigate the goods. Mix stolen items with legitimate goods when selling to regular merchants. This sometimes bypasses scrutiny, though success is inconsistent.

#5: Travel to Far Away Towns

Most of the game’s map is fogged so when you visit areas for the first time, especially far away towns you not only unlock fast travel points, but the merchants here are likely to buy your stolen property.

Sell stolen goods in settlements far from where they were stolen. Merchants there are less likely to recognize them.
