Thrown to the Dogs is one of the quests in the starting region of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Basically, your job is to help an injured dog avenge his owner’s death.
After you meet up with the dog at the temple quest marker, you need to follow him to the location of his owner’s estate. When you get their you find out that the estate is taken over by the dog owner’s sister in law.
There are choices that you make here so I won’t spoil them but if you choose to attack the sister in law and her goons, you will end up with an objective to find a key to the owner’s cache.
The problem is that the key is very well hidden and it took me a while to get it. Here is the exact location and how to get it:

The key is under one of the two houses / buildings in the estate. The building that has the key is the one that’s opposite of the stable.
You need to crawl under the house to get it. The crawl opening is at the back of the house. Press and Hold Square on PS5 or X on Xbox to crawl under the house.
Grab the key and come out to find the dog is gone. You need to head back to the location of the dog owner’s grave to find the dog.
When you reach the gravesite, the dog had already dug up the chest. Inside there is a letter from the dog owner. This will complete the quest; Thrown to the Dogs.
