Vaultkeeper’s Quest is a side quest in Hollow Knight Silksong, that requires you to collect lost Psalm Cylinders that are scattered all over the Pharloom. These cylinders are sacred that are lost in the Vaultkeeper’s archive.
Collecting all 6 of them will not only uncover hidden lore but also rewards you with a powercharm upon completion.
How To Start the Vaultkeeper’s Quest?: First and foremost, talk to Vaultkeeper in the Whispering Vaults.
All 6 Psalm Cylinder Locations: SilkSong
There are total 6 Psalm cylinders that you will have to collect and below are the locations along with some useful tips on how to reach them.
Location #1
The first Psalm cylinder is located near the point where you have talked to the vault keeper. Head right after you are done talking to the Vaultkeeper Cardinius and climb upwards as I have mentioned on the map with the red arrow.
Recommended ability: Wall Cling
Location #2
The second Psalm cylinder is in the same area of Whispering Vaults. On the left side of the underworks near the entrance you will get the second sacred Psalm Cylinder.
Location #3
Now this one is quite tricky to find in the Whispering vault. You need to find the secret area of Songclave. Go left from where I have started in silksong to find the second Psalm cylinder. You can be anywhere else.
Head upwards and try to jump through a secret passage to your right. After entering the hidden passage again g upwards and to your right there is a hook hanging from the ceiling. Grasp the hoop by your silk weaver and you will hear gear mechanic sound.
Drop from there and follow the path by timing your movement. Follow the path until you reach a lever mechanic path along the way. Don’t forget to pull the lever, so that the vertical path behind you is not blocked.
Go left and then go down carefully. There will a lever and a platform to your right. Strike the lever 4 times and then stand on the platform that will open the path of wind, taking you upwards.
At the end of the vertical tunnel strike the lever attached to the ceiling, and you will at the exact location as mentioned on the map.
From there go right and then upwards. The second Psalm cylinder will be to your left.
Location #4
The fourth Psalm Cylinder in Highhalls of Hollow Knight Silksong. Go down and follow the path until you can see the 4th Psalm cylinder, but cant reach it directly from there.
Go to your left and jump up from the second water fall and upon reaching the platform jump right to reach the location of Psalm cylinder in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Location #5
To get the next Psalm Cylinder location defeat the boss Unravelled.
Use surgeon’s key to open the platform to reach the Boss Unravelled. I have already mentioned from where you can get the surgeon’s key. Once you have defeated him go right though a narrow passage, and follow the path to the bottom.
Upon reaching the bottom break the wall to your left to have access to a hidden area behind it. At the end of this hidden area you will get your 5th Psalm sacred Cylinder in Hollow Knight Silksong.
Location #6
The sixth and last Psalm Cylinder is bought from Grindle. I have pinned the location where I started. Go left from the entrance of Sand of Karak and Grindle shop is at the end of the tunnel.
Purchase the sacred Psalm cylinder for 180 rosaries. Now finally head back to the Vault keeper and give him all the six Psalm Cylinders to complete the Vault Keeper’s Quest.
