If you are new to the game, know that admin commands, cheat codes, or console commands are the same thing.
These are codes you type into the command console box in single player mode or private dedicated servers such as dedicated, non-dedicated, and PC hosted third party servers.
How to Use Ark: Survival Ascended Console Commands on PC
You can use console commands aka cheat codes in single-player mode or a private server (dedicated, non-dedicated, or PC-hosted third-party server) by doing the following:
- Boot into the game
- When inside a server in Ark Survival Ascended, open the menu and go to settings
- Go to Advanced tab and turn on Console Access
- On PC press ~ to open the command console
The admin console is shown at the bottom left of your screen. It is barely noticeable because it is such a tiny bar.
In the command console enter any of the below-mentioned Ark Survival cheats (same codes work on consoles too) and press Enter.
Cheat Code example: Typing “givecolors” suggests the full command as givecolors space quantity integer 32. To give yourself 10 of every dye in the game, type:givecolors 10.
When the code is entered properly items like dyes are stored in the Cosmetics Tab, and they don’t increase your inventory weight.
How to Enable and Open Console on Xbox and PS5
- Start ARK: Survival Ascended.
- Press the “Pause” button.
- Select the “Settings” menu.
- Go to the “Advanced” tab.
- Toggle the “Console Access” option to “ON.”
- Confirm by pressing the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.
You admin console is now enabled so you can start using cheats on PS5, PS4, and Xbox consoles.
- Start the game with new settings.
- Press the “Pause” button.
- Select the “Exit to Main Menu” option.
