Hytale is a very resource dependent game where you must grind to get resources, build base, or catch animals. However, console commands make life much easier for Hytale players. You can also called them Hytale cheats, these codes are developer tools built into the game itself.

Using console commands you can alter the game’s world, get resources, change time and weather, unlock building features, spawn items, among other things.

While console commands are used by devs to debug and test the game, they also allow players put the game in God Mode for gameplay experimentation or just to have fun without the grind.

Hytale console commaands come in different categories including

  • Basic Commands
  • Server and Admin Commands
  • Fast Travel and Movement Commands
  • Prefab and Selection Tools
  • World Editing and Creative Commands
  • Debug and Misc. Commands

Most console commands work without issue in the single player mode but you may have to enable Creative Mode. Moreover, Server and Admin Commands require admin permission but not if you’re hosting your own servers or are the OP on the server.

How to Use Command Console in Hytale

To use console commands:

  1. Launch Hytale and enter a world, either single-player or a server you have access to.
  2. Press the forward slash key (/) (often the same key that opens chat in other games) or Enter to open the chat text box.
  3. Once the textbox is open, you can type any command, every console command starts with a slash (/).

For example, typing /help and pressing Enter will bring up the in-game list of commands and what they do. This is useful if you’re unsure about the syntax or available commands.

How to Become an OP in Hytale (Gaining Permissions)

For example, typing /help and pressing Enter will bring up the in-game list of commands and what they do. This is useful if you’re unsure about the syntax or available commands.

To make yourself an operator type /op self in the command console. This gives your character admin permissions so you can use most commands.

If you’re on a server and wish to grant OP permissions to someone else, type /op add PlayerName.

And lastly, to remove someone as operator (OP) type /op remove PlayerName.

Once you get the “You’re now OP!” message (displayed in chat), you’ll be able to run admin commands.
