Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Remake, also referred to as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, is not expected to arrive anytime soon following Ubisoft’s latest round of cancellations and restructuring. Rumors regarding the game have also died down since last week, creating uncertainty about the title.

Fortunately, insider Nate The Hate has come through with a small update. In a new video, he discussed a potential Nintendo Switch 2 port for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

Sharing his 2026 predictions, Nate The Hate discussed Ubisoft’s current position regarding support for Nintendo Switch 2.

He confirmed that the French gaming giant plans to bring Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Remake to the console at some point. According to Nate The Hate, this port may not arrive on day one, but it is currently being worked on by the studio.

The leaker believes that the remake launching on the platform would be a good sign for Ubisoft due to the current turmoil at the studio. He makes the point that even if Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced shows up on the Nintendo Switch 2 six months after its original release, it would help Ubisoft regain some of the recently lost goodwill among audiences.

“From what I’ve heard, that (Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Remake) is Switch 2-bound. It may not be day and date with the other versions, I’m not sure.” -Nate The Hate

The insider also discussed other Nintendo Switch 2 ports from Ubisoft. He confirmed that Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake was set to debut on the platform before its recent cancellation. Moreover, the publisher intends to port as many IPs to the console as possible.

Therefore, the likes of The Division, Far Cry, and more are under consideration for the platform. Ultimately, the publisher appears keen on expanding its audience on the Nintendo Switch 2, and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced would go a long way in that regard.
