In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, your save files are stored locally on your PC, and the location will vary depending on whether you are using Steam, Ubisoft Connect, or the Epic Games Launcher.

Within these directories you will find your manual saves, your autosaves, and your config files.

It is recommended to make a copy of the entire folder that is related to your platform in order to save all your progress and settings.
All of your save files will be available in these folders numbered 1081 and 8006 depending on which client you are using.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows does feature cloud saves through Ubisoft’s services, but backing up your save files manually is a good way to go the extra mile and make sure you can get your progress back if need be.
