Avowed presents players with some difficult choices throughout the gameplay. Among such choices, the ones related to accepting or rejecting new powers are quite challenging, as they could have some serious ramifications both instantly and later on in the game.
The players have to make a power-related choice quite soon in Avowed when they first arrive in Dawnshore. Till this point, players have not had a chance to talk to the disembodied Voice in their head. During the Message from Afar quest, the Voice offers you a power. The Envoy has to decide whether to accept or reject the Voice’s offer in Avowed.
During the Message from Afar quest, the Envoy has to kill Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear and speak to Ambassador Falscen Hylgar.
Then the players check out the Adra Pillar, which lets you communicate with the Voice in your head. The Voice, till now, was only speaking one-way to you since Northreach. The players at this point get a chance to ask about the problems in Strangleroot and seek its help.
The Voice promises to help but requires a favor in return. At this point, you can either accept the offer or reject it.

Accepting the Voice’s Offer in Message from Afar
The Voice offers you the power to “heal and to be healed,” but they demand your help in return.
If you accept the Voice’s offer, you get the Dream Touch Godlike ability. It is a special ability to have, especially this early in the game.
With Dream Touch, you only need to spend 30 essence (and a 90-second cooldown) and revive your allies from afar rather than manually and risking your life during a fight. It also deals damage over time to nearby Delemgan, Dreamthralls, and Vessels.

Such an ability is very useful if your allies are dead, as it allows you to review them without the revive sequence.
Apart from the Dream Touch ability, the corrupted groove will be healed, and you will have a clear path ahead. Another benefit of accepting the Voice’s offer is that you get an additional dialogue option during your talks with the NPCs.
The option allows you to heal them using Dream Touch instead of a Health Potion.
Accepting Reject the Voice’s Offer in Message from Afar
If you opt to reject the Voice’s power, you are awarded with Godlike’s Will ability. It provides you the ability point that you can use to power up your skills in the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard skill trees. There is nothing special about this bonus compared to Dream Touch, but it lets you unlock skills immediately.
As is obvious, the Voice will be displeased when you reject its offer, but Stranglefoot will still be cleared, vines removed, and your path cleared.
Accept or Reject? The Best Option
It all depends on your preferences, but having the Dream Touch ability is something special. Plus, the biggest reason you should accept the Voice’s power is that you don’t get a chance to obtain Dream Touch ability again in the game. This is the only quest that offers this ability, so go for it, as you will get a chance to unlock Godlike’s Will in the game later on.
As the game progresses, you will have more chances to reject the Voice’s offer during the Shadows of the Past quest in Naku Kubel and the Our Dreams Divide Us Still quest in Galawain’s Tusk.
