Unique items in Avowed are the higher tier variants of their base models. All types of gear in the game have unique variants.
You can find Unique Weapons, Gloves, Boots, and of course, Shields. There is over 10 Unique Shields in Avowed, hidden at various locations.
Each Unique Shield has two Enhancement slots, and you can make further upgrades at the Enchanting Station.
