Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight Silksong is majorly criticized due to its design problems and high difficulty. But the long awaited game still received a grand welcome which was expected.
However, since launch the modding community was active to improve some of the gameplay features and fix some design problems in Hollow Knight Silksong.

Show Damage Health Bar Mod
This is a mod developed by ‘XiaoHaiNB’ that shows the remaining health of all enemies in the game.
This mod comes in very handy when you are about to start a boss fight, and you are not sure about silkcharge, masks or to restart the encounter. You will know exactly what moves do the most damage and what approach is best against bosses.
Compass or permanent compass Mod
Having the Compass amulet equipped is something that allows us to navigate the maps more easily, takes up space on our crests. If you want some extra space, this mod developed by Synthlight will permanently activate the compass even without having the corresponding amulet equipped.
Tools Auto Replenish Mod
This mod in Hollow Knight Silksong allows you to fill all the tools automatically without trying to explore around the area and sitting on a bench. It can be very handy during long combat sections.
Stakes of Marika – Resurrects Anywhere
It’s very annoying in the game when you are fighting with any Boss, and after you die, the rebirth is far away from the boss location.
In that case you crawl all the way back to it again. With Stakes Of Marika Mode installed, you don’t need to worry about that anymore and resurrect anywhere on the map where you want.
No Double Damage Mod
A very simple mod developed by user ‘Baiker’. Essentially, it significantly decreases the game’s difficulty by eliminating one of the most frustrating points for many users, : no enemy in the entire game will do two masks‘
While the ability to not have to worry so much about getting hit is appreciated, I personally recommend it only if you’re desperate for this feature.
Free Teleportation / Fast Travel Mod
Silksong has a built-in option of fast travel, but the teleportation location is sometimes too far from the desired point of travel.
Thanks to YurisCat, who created a mod that allows us to create custom teleportations around the map wherever you want.
You can save up to five custom fast travel locations at a time in Silksong.
Dont Use custom teleportaion duing boss fight or a cutscene, this can cause a game crash.
Silksong Automap Mod
There is another mechanic in Silksong that is inherited from the previous version which is to reveal a location, you have to buy its map from Sharka first.
But if you don’t like that mechanic and want the map to update in real time as you explore Telalejana, this mod will do it for you.
All Enemies Drop Rosary Beads Mod
And lastly this mod will ease off the economic pressure on you. Rosary is the in game currency that you need to buy all the tools and upgrades. There is a mod by ‘YukkuriC’ that will cause absolutely all Silksong enemies to drop Rosaries upon defeat but at the same time it won’t stop them from dropping Armor Shards and other resources.
The number of rosaries dropped by each enemy will depend on the level of the difficulty. Enemies will drop higher amounts in modes like Steel Soul.
Back Up Game Files Before modding
These mods will definitely make Hollow Knight Silksong more interesting and accessible but make sure to keep a copy of the original game and save files in another folder, before making any changes. It’s always good to take precautions.
By doing so you’ll still have the original files if something goes wrong after the mod installation.
