Go straight ahead across a gap between two adjacent rooftops after emerging from the mines. The quickest way there would be the balcony sticking out of the left side of the tavern, beside a crane. Dodge the guards and climb it. Use it to step onto the balcony, before jumping to the balcony further back, to your right.
Now that you are in the tavern through this specific balcony, take care of the two guards. Grab the lockpick from the table, crouch, and head under the table through a hole in the wall to the room opposite.
Take care of the sleeping guard and jump out the window, onto the ledge outside. Follow this ledge all the way to your left until you spot another open window, which you will need to enter.
How to Find the Captain’s Room?
After entering the window, you will need to defeat the two guards roaming around. One will be right under the window. Before entering, get the guard in your eyeline. Once he walks away, sneak up on the second guard and finish him off. Return to where you entered the window and use the lockpick on the door. This will unlock the captain’s bedroom, and your objective will be completed.
