If you encounter issues like a glitchy rainbow screen, you might need to switch your Proton version. Hover over Soulmask in your Steam Library and press Start. Now select Properties.
Go to the Capabilities section. Check the option “Force the use of a specific Steam…”. Choose Proton 8.0-4 and start the game.
Since Soulmask is not controller compatible, you need to remap the keyboard and mouse controls for the Steam Deck.
- Directional Pad: Set to WASD.
- Deck Buttons: Map to keyboard actions.
- Right Stick: Use for mouse movement instead of the trackpad.
Adjust the keybinds in the Keybinds menu to suit your preferences.
