Blue Prince hides many secrets and items you can find at different locations. These not only include Disks but also the Microchips.
Microchips serve two functions in Blue Prince. first, placing all three Microchips inside the central device located in the Blackbridge Grotto results in the opening of a massive vault door.
The Orindian Ruins contain the rare Throne Room blueprint which occasionally shows up in your drafts and grants access to a Sanctum Key.
The “book anagram puzzle” solution in A New Clue reveals a concealed mechanism that exists at the sundial base in the Apple Orchard.
The three Microchips inserted into this mechanism activate a Satellite Dish which provides permanent access to new data packets and communications on terminals and expands your in-game lore and puzzle access.
How to Get Clues for Microchip Locations
Draft a Bookstore from the library and purchase ‘A New Clue’ from the Bookstore. Look at the list of Corner Cases the detective is investigating. Find each of the rooms with checkmarks and examine the notes.
Also look at visual clue in the record room that the detective is investigating in.
Doing these steps will get you all the Microchip clues you need to find their locations in Blue Prince.
Microchip Location 1: Blackbridge Grotto
The first Microchip is already inside one of the Microchip puzzle slots. The puzzle itself is in the Blackbridge Grotto, right in front of you when you enter.
All you need to do is find the other two and place it in the two remaining slots to solve the puzzle.
Microchip Location 2: Entrance Hall
The second Microchip is inside the Entrance Hall. Get a Sledgehammer and go back to the Entrance. You need to use the Sledgehammer to break open the west-side vase, on the left side from the front door.
The Microchip is inside the vase. Pick it up and go back to place it inside the Microchip puzzle in Blackbridge Grotto.
Microchip Location 3: The West Path
The third Microchip is on the other side of the West Gate. The gate itself is locked so you have unlock the West Gate.
After unlocking the West Gate you need to play until you get access to a Shovel. Then return to the west path and go to the northeastern side of the bridge. Look in the grass for a dig site where you can dig for the third and final Microchip in Blue Prince.
