Capcom has become one of the most beloved and successful AAA studios in the industry today, with the team further elevating itself to new heights with each big release. Most recently, the Japanese gaming giant has found success with Resident Evil Requiem, and it aims to continue the pursuit of similar hits moving forward.

Today, Capcom has established its presence across practically every genre of games and all platforms. However, the studio prioritizes PC above all else, and in a recent statement, CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto expressed his high hopes for the platform.

Capcom On PC Market

At the end of the year, Capcom published its integrated report for 2025 and outlined goals and ambitions for the future. Much of the report reiterated what executives belonging to the company had said in the past, including plans to leverage existing IPs and focus on other forms of entertainment like films and television.

At the same time, the Capcom CEO confirmed that PC would remain a key point of interest for the gaming giant. He noted that this platform will become even more valuable in the future, making it important to understand the dynamics of PC gaming and its shifting market.

In the same report, CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto noted that PC will likely overtake all other platforms to lead the gaming industry. This is already the case for Capcom, where PC accounts for about half of all sales across the company’s portfolio today.

“I believe that PC will further establish itself as the world’s leading gaming platform, which will serve to increase the value of the PC market.” -Kenzo Tsujimoto

Interestingly, the CEO’s statement is in line with recent analyst predictions from Newzoo. PC gaming revenue is expected to outpace consoles altogether by 2028, largely due to interest from the Chinese and Asian markets.

Elsewhere in the report, the Japanese gaming giant teased plans to revive IPs like Devil May Cry and Mega Man. Rumors also suggest that multiple new Resident Evil projects are already in the works, so Capcom seems to have its hands full already.

Of course, this is good news for the fans, since the team’s latest releases have been more than successful, and the company also has Pragmata lined up to launch later next month.
