Capcom’s long awaited new IP, Pragmata, is finally on track for 2026 release and for the first time in years, a major Capcom title will launch with full Korean voice dubbing.

Producer Naoto Oyama confirmed the news during Gamescom 2025, revealing that the decision was closely tied to the game’s leadership. Pragmata’s main director is Cho Yong-hee, a Korean developer, and his involvement paved the way for a rare full localization effort beyond subtitles.

Because of that, Pragmata includes Korean dubbing. I really hope Korean players will enjoy this aspect.

This marks a significant milestone for Korean fans. While Capcom has consistently provided Korean subtitle support in its games for years, voice-over localization has been virtually non-existence in its AAA offerings.

Full Korean localization suggests Capcom’s broadening focus on the Korean market, which has become increasingly important in global gaming.

Beyond localization, Pragmata aims to stand out with a distinctive gameplay system that blends fast-paced shooting with real-time hacking puzzles, as players control astronaut Hugh Williams alongside android companion Diana on a dangerous lunar base.

Originally announced in 2020, Pragmata has seen multiple delays, leading fans to wonder if this project will end up like Deep Down, a game that’s been reportedly cancelled internally but no public announcements have been made.

But at Gamescom, Capcom reaffirmed its commitment, with the now-famous trailer tagline: “2026 it’s real XD.” If the promise holds, Korean players will not only be among the first to play Capcom’s new IP in years.
