Civilization 7 has a very limited set of cheats that are officially available via debug mode aka the command console. But apart from those you can actually run even more codes that allow you to cheat your way up the top of the Civilization world.
With cheats you can unlock all leader abilities, all memento bonuses, all unique policy bonuses, and some other stuff.
The process of getting these cheats to work is different than just doing the debug mode method but we will go through both of these methods in this guide.
Civilization 7 Available Cheats
- Reveal All: Shows the entire map, including resources and units.
- Explore All: Uncovers terrain but hides units and resources.
- Disable Fog of War (FOW): Toggle under Map > Debug > Enable FOW
- Force Age Transition: Skips the current age (found under UI > Gameplay)
Alternate Method to Run More Civilization 7 Cheats
To run more cheat codes in Civilization 7 you need to mod the game. Currently, the only cheats mode I could find is called “Ea-Nasir’s Cheat tablet.”
Installing mods is incredibly easy. It is as simple as copy pasting files into the mods folder. If you need help with it use my modding guide for a complete breakdown of the process.
Note: Civilization Unique abilities will only work in the age that civ appears
With the cheats mode you can run the following cheats:
- All leader abilities
- All memento bonuses
- All Civ unique policy bonuses
- Civ Unique abilities
More cheats are coming, according to the mods creator:
- Civ unique units
- Civ unique buildings
- Creating a unique memento for the cheat instead of overriding an existing one
To use the mods in the game, from the main menu select Additional Content, then Mods and make sure the mod appears and is enabled. Select and use the memento “Complaint to Ea-nāsir.”
