In God of War: Sons of Sparta, you will encounter a boss pretty early on, IOKE. Despite being an early boss, he will not hold back and might take a few attempts to beat. In this God of War Sons of Sparta guide, I guide you on how to easily beat this boss and continue your journey.

How to Deal with IOKE Easily in God of War: Sons of Sparta?

Right as the battle begins, he will turn red and start spinning in circles. He will also launch himself towards you, so be careful. This attack is coloured red, which means that you can’t block it. It’s pretty obvious that you have to dodge the attack. Keep in mind that he will do this attack two times; once to the left and again to the right.

When he glows red and starts spinning, you will have to get behind him and attack. After that, he will do a wind gust attack, launching himself in the air and throwing a gust of wind down towards you. Just block it with your shield, and you will be good to go.

This keeps going on until you get that health bar down to three-quarters. The series of attacks is as follows: spinning red attack, wind gust, and purple slam attack with a wave of wind. Pretty easy to counter, as I explained earlier.

After that, he will go off the screen. Light rays will appear, which will guide you about where to expect IOKE from. Avoid these rays, and you won’t get hit by IOKE.

The moves don’t change; however, he will execute each attack more than before. What I mean by that is he will spin across the arena three times (glowing red), and slam down to the ground three times (glowing purple). You will have to dodge the spinning attack three times and get behind him to deal damage each time. For the purple slam attack, jump over the wave of wind three times, and on the third slam, rush in to deal damage.

Rewards:

Once you have defeated IOKE, you will get a ton of Blood Orbs and the Razor Plume. The first can be used to unlock additional Defensive and Offensive abilities at a campfire. As for the Razor Plume, you will need that for story progression. Aside from these, you will also get the Flying Solo trophy.

That’s how you can beat IOKE in God of War: Sons of Sparta. Follow the tips I have mentioned above, and the boss fight will feel like a piece of cake. I hope that you found this guide helpful.
