Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more difficult during Episode 3 of Dispatch, you are given an option to pick new teammates on board during Episode 4.

You can either pick Waterboy or Phenomaman. What makes the decision difficult is that neither is worth picking, so you might struggle with choosing the one that can provide you with at least some benefit. This Dispatch guide will take you through which option might be the best for you.

Should I Pick Waterboy or Phenomaman For Team-Z?

During Episode 4 of Dispatch, Robert is met with a decision. Either pick Waterboy or Phenomaman as a new member of Team-Z. Let’s take a look at which option suits you the best:

What Happens If You Choose Waterboy

Waterboy has a very introverted personality. He is timid, shy, and doesn’t want to cause problems. We can fix that by training him and boosting his abilities. He will be really grateful for the opportunity and will convey his gratitude to Robert.

Other members will not be a fan of your decision during the next dispatch. The environment will get tense, leading to a rise in Waterboy’s anxiety. Fortunately, the dispatch will be successful. End your shift and head over to the storage closet to find Waterboy hiding.

Choose any assuring dialogue option to tell him that he is doing all right, and he doesn’t need to worry. This will significantly boost his confidence.

You also unlock an achievement for picking Waterboy, “It Smells Very Chemically In Here – Give him his first shot”.

What Happens If You Choose Phenomaman

Phenomaman is Blonede Blazer’s ex-boyfriend, which makes things a little awkward and complicated. But worry not, as Blaze Blazer won’t have a problem with Phenomaman joining the team. But a breakup hurts, and Phenomaman won’t be mentally prepared to give his best on the next dispatch. Just like Waterboy, Phenomaman will show his gratitude to Robert.

However, with this decision, your team will be dissatisfied, resulting in Phenomaman losing more confidence. The dispatch will be successful, helping you assign skill points to your team.

After finishing your work, you will find Phenomaman in one of the spare office rooms, watching a video of himself and Blonde Blazer during a dispatch operation.

Just like Waterboy, pick the dialog choice that tends to boost Phenomaman’s confidence. He will be really thankful to you for believing in him.

For picking Phenomaman, you will unlock the “I Wish To Make Love To You Again – Gave him a second chance” achievement.

Who to Pick for Z Team in Episode 4 of Dispatch

No matter who you pick, your choice will not impact the dispatch. Your team won’t be satisfied, no matter who you pick. Just go with what your heart desires, and pick whoever you think would fit the team.

Phenomaman brings more proven hero ability; Waterboy brings newer potential but less reliability early. Phenomaman’s personal problems may create story/mission complications (emotion, morale) whereas Waterboy may be less problematic.

Choosing one over the other influences narrative threads: redemption (for Phenomaman) vs. a fresh start (for Waterboy).

If you want an immediate impact on missions, Phenomaman might offer the better performance. However, if you care more about mentoring, growth, narrative change, Waterboy might be the best and more interesting choice for your session.

After all this, you are one step from completing Episode 4 in Dispatch. I hope that you found this Dispatch guide helpful.
