Doom The Dark Ages is a demanding game and doesn’t really do well on most handhelds. However, Asus ROG Ally devices manage to handle it pretty well; at least they make it playable. But there is a major problem right now that is stopping players from actually playing the game.
When the game is downloaded and launched, especially through Xbox Game Pass, it demands that you update your drivers. The available link then takes you to the AMD website but there is no compatible driver on the site at the time of this writing.
So what’s the fix here? You need to update the drivers from the Armoury of Asus ROG Ally and Ally X.
Go into Armoury crate and check for updates. It will show there.

The updated driver that works with Doom The Dark Ages on Asus ROG Ally handheld devices shown up in the Armoury Crate.
I got the update myself but there is an issue here that ASUS needs to fix. The driver is not showing up for everybody and it seems it is not fully publicly available. If you are not seeing the driver on AMD site as well as the Armoury Crate, then there is nothing for you to do but wait for ASUS to fix this.
