Bandai Namco’s lineup of Dragon Ball games continues to perform well. Following last year’s Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, the franchise remains strong heading into Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri, an event scheduled for January 25th, which should bring fresh announcements related to the IP.
Ahead of this event, a new sales milestone for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot has also been confirmed. The game has officially sold 10 million units at the time of writing.

In addition to the 10 million sales milestone, various other statistics for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot have been shared by the official Dragon Ball Games Twitter/X account.
Since 2020, players have launched a total of 7.8 billion Kamehamehas and 1.9 billion Spirit Bombs in the RPG. Raditz, the first major boss in the game, has also defeated more than 2.2 million players, while players themselves have defeated Frieza a total of 7.2 million times.
This update comes ahead of the game’s second Daima DLC. The new content arrives January 15, adding Super Saiyan 4 Daima Goku to the title’s long list of playable characters and highlighting his showdown with Gomah from the series’ latest anime.
This sales update is significant since it means that a total of 3 Dragon Ball games have sold over 10 million units. Between FighterZ, Xenoverse 2, and now Kakarot, all three games have shown just how valuable the Japanese franchise is in the gaming industry.
Following the release of the upcoming DLC, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Cyber Connect 2 announced even more content for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. Since the game has yet to cover the plethora of Dragon Ball Z movies and the Dragon Ball Super storyline, there is still plenty of content to explore for the single-player RPG.
