Insulated Fabric is one of those materials in Dune Awakening that help you craft more advanced technologies. As you progress in the game, you will find yourself looking for more and more Insulated Fabric.
Insulated Fabric usually comes heavily into play during mid-late game as more items require this resource. Items like Bloodbags and Literjons are two of the most commonly used items that need Insulated Fabric.
Where to find Insulated Fabric in Dune Awakening
Insulated Fabric is found on multiple locations in Dune Awakening, usually it is inside containers. The easiest way to find Insulated Fabric is to hover over points of interests on the map to check what resources it offers.
In my experience, Insulated Fabric is mainly found in the O’odham region of the map of Arrakis. This location is at the top left of Hagga’s Basinin Arrakis.
There are multiple sites and caves here that offer Insulated Fabric to the player including:
- Stonestep Village / Stonestep Valley
- Windsong
- Mendek’s (sometimes called Mendek’s Shithole)
- Rockwarren Village
Stonestep Valley is 2.5km west of Griffin’s Reach and can only be reached through a rocky spire carved into the rock face. This area alone yields 20-40 Insulated Fabric per container / chest. All of these chests respawn after a while so you can come back to the same location in hopes of finding more.
90% of the crafting recipes that use Insulated Fabric are crafted with Survival Fabricator.
Know that some of the Insulated Fabric locations have enemies lurking around so often you’ll have to deal with them before you can open the resource containers.
Alternate Ways of Getting Insulated Fabric
Apart from finding Insulated Fabric in chests are the locations I shared above, you can buy it from merchants like Zoe, at The Crossroads Tradepost in Mysa Tarill.
