Dying Light: The Beast features several main and side quests. Most of them are pretty straightforward; do what the game tells you to do. However, some do stand out, like the Chain Reaction side quest, where you are met with a decision.

You can either let Selby take revenge for what was done to her, or you can step in to save Lucy from her. If you are stuck on which option to choose, then worry not, as this Dying Light: The Beast guide will help you with that.

Do I Let Selby Kill Lucy or Save Her?

How do we even get into this situation? When you pick up the Chain Reaction side quest. Selby will talk to you about the transfer of chemical compounds by the Baron’s Guards at a camping park north-west of your current location.

After reaching here, you are required to eliminate the infected and then speak to the trapped survivor. Lucy is the survivor who will ask you to go to the Supply Outpost and get rations and supplies.

After reaching there, you will be met with the decision to either let Selby kill Lucy or save her. Don’t worry, I gotchu.

The answer is simple: it doesn’t matter which option you choose. Both will complete the quest and reward you with 2 Legendary Manual pages and 10,000 XP. The only change that occurs is in Selby’s dialogue. But it’s not important, so don’t sweat over it.

Just pick any of the options, and you will be one step closer to completing the Chain Reaction quest. However, the Selby will have a bit of an attitude towards Kyle whenever he sees her next.

What Happens if You Let Lucy Die

Dialogue option: I’ll leave you two alone.

What Happens if You Space Lucy

Dialogue option: Can’t let you do this, Selby.

That’s all for this Dying Light: The Beast guide on whether to let Lucy die or save her during the Chain Reaction quest. I hope that you found this guide helpful.
