There are two ways to find the save file location of Dynasty Warriors Origins on PC. You can go to C:\Users[WINDOWS USERNAME]\My Documents\KoeiTecmo\DYNASTY WARRIORS ORIGINS\Saved\SaveGames\ where you can find the save file or use the second method of quick search.
In the Windows search bar on the taskbar, type the following:
USERPROFILE%/My Documents/KoeiTecmo/DYNASTY WARRIORS ORIGINS/Saved/SaveGames
This is faster than going to the folder manually but do whatever works for you. The method only works on PC for the game’s Steam version, obviously.
Now, if you just clicked on the article randomly to read more on our website, you may be wondering why would someone want to tinker with the save files?
Well, it is not about tinkering but backing the save file manually. While Cloud saves are great, backing up your save files, especially, for open world RPGs is the smartest thing to do in case something is broken, or you frequently use mods.
But the main problem with Dynasty Warriors Origins is an issue with save files. The game sometimes fails to save progress so back up your save files every now and then. I do have a fix for the “saving progress” issue so if you’re suffering from it, here’s what you can do about it.
Dynasty Warriors Origins also suffers from crashes on PC so backing up your save files manually is recommended.
You can back up your save files by simply creating a copy of it on your PC or USB drive.
