Even with the demanding nature of the games coming out these, handhelds seem to be holding up pretty well. Especially, the Asus ROG Ally. The newly released Elden Ring Nightreign runs smooth on ROG Ally on both Windows and SteamOS.
On Windows, at 900 and 1080p resolution I was able to nail 40 to 50FPS and 30 to 40FPS respectively. The results on SteamOS were pretty much the same but let’s first talk about the settings used to get these results on Asus ROG Ally X with Windows running.

Use 30W TDP for all resolutions and operations systems on Asus ROG Ally. You can bring down the TDP to 15W if you are on 720p but I recommend testing it yourself and seeing how it works for you.
