Slay the Spire has gotten a ton of features to make the game even more fun and engaging. One of these is Enchantments, which, when learnt, can easily turn the tables on your side in a run. This Slay the Spire 2 guide will take you through everything you need to know about Enchantments.

Enchantments in Slay the Spire 2

Enchantments are special modifiers that attach directly to individual cards in your deck, altering the behaviour of a card in a more dramatic, often double-edged way. After applying an Enchantment, you get to keep it for the rest of your run. An enchanted card will have a unique symbol displayed on the card face, while some Enchantments add text in a distinctive purple font, allowing players to spot it more easily.

How Enchantments Work?

You can apply Enchantments to boost your damage, but at the cost of reduced Max HP. There’s also an enchantment that makes enemies vulnerable to damage, but does so at the cost of Energy. Enchantments you apply will remain until the end of the run

Everything you need to know about enchantments in Slay the Spire 2.

For example, the Corrupted Enchantment increases the card’s damage by 50% at the cost of losing 3 HP each time it’s played. You can find Enchantments through rare Events, which are scattered across the map. You will have to go through several runs to actually encounter one, as they depend on your path choices. The developers at Mega Crit have explicitly confirmed that there are additional methods to obtain Enchantments beyond Events, but the full list of sources remains unknown.

What Trade-Offs Do Enchantments Offer?

For every Enchantment, there’s a little price. As the game is currently in early access, only a few have yet been discovered. Let’s take a look at them:

Corrupted+50% damage on the cardLose 3 HP each time it’s played

How Should I Use Enchantments in Slay the Spire 2?

The best strategy for using enchantments would be to match the Enchantment’s cost to your deck’s strengths. If you have a deck built around high block and healing, it will absorb HP-cost Enchantments with little to no downside. For more Energy on key attacks, you can try making an energy-rich deck with multiple Energy-generating cards. Just avoid applying an Enchantment that punishes a weakness your deck already has, and you will be good to go.
