Devil May Cry 5 turned seven yesterday, but the series has received little attention from Capcom since this title’s launch, at least as far as games are concerned. Currently, Hideaki Itsuno is no longer part of Capcom, and the team seems more focused on promoting Devil May Cry season 2 on Netflix.
Despite the seemingly impossible odds, a series of recent social media posts has fans convinced that Devil May Cry 6 is now being teased online.

Following chatter regarding the series on Devil May Cry’s 7th anniversary, BossLogic shared a concept logo for Devil May Cry 6. For those unaware, BossLogic has previously worked as an artist in the games industry, so this image already raised a few eyebrows.
This was followed by Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero, sharing the same image on Instagram and updating his profile picture to an image highlighting Nero. Since then, fans are more pumped than ever, with many believing this isn’t just a coincidence.

Many have pointed out that with Devil May Cry season 2 on the horizon, now would be the perfect time for Capcom to begin teasing a new game.
The last season led to a major surge in sales for Devil May Cry 5, so it would make a lot of sense for Capcom to capitalize on the excitement that will inevitably follow the second season. It also goes without saying, but the studio is more than aware of the demand for more Devil May Cry.

Of course, not everyone is convinced another Devil May Cry title is being teased here. Because voice actors have been known to interact with their fandoms in the past, Johnny Yong Bosch may just be honoring Devil May Cry 5’s latest anniversary through this gesture.
It is also important to note that the next entry in the series could arrive in the form of a remake as opposed to a sequel since Capcom previously mentioned the IP among the franchises it intends to remake at some point in the future.
Regardless, it’s clear that fans are still waiting for more Devil May Cry. When the next game will arrive is anybody’s guess for now, but till then, the series’ existing games remain incredibly fun to play and revisit to this day.
