Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time lives up to its name by providing an expansive role-playing experience through various lives set in the fantasy lands of Riveria. Each life comes with its own skill set that players unlock gradually to advance in the game.

However, sometimes you may end up using the wrong skills, and it can make things tough for you. At such a time, the ability to reset your skills comes in handy. Fantasy Life i, like many other games, offers players a chance to respec or reset their skills. But this ability doesn’t come right away in the game, and players have to make story progression to unlock it.

In this guide, I will discuss how you can respec your skills in Fantasy Life i and how much it costs to reset skills.

When Can You Unlock the Ability to Respec Skills in Fantasy Life i

You will get the ability to refresh your skills in Fantasy Life i after finishing the quest “Build an Islander House” in chapter 3, “Digging Up Secrets of the Past.” As a result, Guild Office will be unlocked and added to Base Camp in the present mode of the game.

After you have unlocked the Guild Office by completing the required quest, you will find an NPC, a flower by the name of Lucy Lips, on the counter in the Guild Office at your Base Camp. If you want to respec your skills, you need to approach it. You can find it sitting near Boyle, and it has a blue icon above its head.

Lucy Lips doesn’t offer services free of cost. You will have to pay 10,000 Dosh to respec your skills every time, which is quite a lot of money.

While 10,000 Dosh may look like a small amount if you are at an advanced stage in the game, it is quite big early on in the game. Plus, you’ll have to pay 10,000 Dosh for every life for which you want to respec skills.

Another NPC you can talk to about respec skills is Lyle Lips, which is located near Auntie Anne in the Guild Office. It has the blue icon over its head as well.

After you respec your skills, all the points used to unlock skills are returned. Moreover, respecing in Fantasy Life i doesn’t affect your stats or character progression.

When Should You Respec Skills in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

I will not recommend you to reset your skills tree early on in the game, and especially not right after unlocking the Guild Office. The skill tree system in Fantasy Life i requires players to focus on all skill trees to unlock advanced abilities.

At advanced stages of the game, players need more points to unlock high-level skills. In that case, a respec is a better and more viable option, as you will have to spend a lot of time to rectify your mistakes in skill trees.

How to Gather 10,000 Dosh for Resetting Skills

There are plenty of ways to do that. You can craft items like science equipment while playing as an Alchemist and earn around 20,000 Dosh quickly. Other than this, you can complete side quests and requests from characters with a speech bubble on their head.
