Grounded 2 is out now on consoles and PC and while it is very simple to track down you save files on consoles, on PC you’ll need the right path to the folder. If you haven’t made any manual adjustments, you’ll find the Grounded 2 save file at the same location at other save files, inside your C Drive.

At the path you see above, you’ll find the Grounded 2 save file. Inside the folder you will find save files for each profile you have in the game.
There are screenshots in the folders so you’ll know which file belong to what world you are running. If you want to mess around with the save files or create a back up, copy paste the entire Grounded 2 folder to and save it somewhere safe.
Alternately, you can use the following command in Windows Run to reach the save file location:
- %USERPROFILE%/Saved Games/Grounded2
Grounded 2 comes with Steam Cloud support so if you delete or tweak the save file, turn off the Cloud Save feature. Otherwise, it will get restored when you boot up the game.
Grounded lets you create multiple save slots and you can load each one from the “Load Game” option in the main and in-game menu. So far there are no mods that you can install for this game but expect modders to hit Nexus mods hard in the coming weeks.
Grounded 2 Config File Location
If you are an Xbox APP user looking for the config file then go to the following path:
- C:\Users[Your username]\AppData\Local\Augusta\Saved\Config\WinGDK
The config file is in ini format and is named GameUserSettings.
