Can’t figure out how to build a workbench in Grounded 2? Well, you came to the right place. A workbench is one of the first things you need to build, and it is probably the first major challenge you face. After you are done exploring the first area but still not getting access to a workbench could be a bit confusing.
What are you supposed to do with the resources you gathered in the first area? To start using your resources to craft items and also complete the Signals and Stashes mission, you need to find the Workbench schematic in Grounded 2.
How to Unlock a Workbench in Grounded 2
To unlock the workbench schematic in Grounded 2 you need to analyze a grass plank at a resource analyzer. I know, it is a weird way to unlock it, but that’s what the game went with. You can find a grass plank in a Ranger Outpost and since you’re just starting out, the first one you’ll get access to it Ranger Outpost: Snackbar.
Chop the grass outside the post to create a grass plank. Then analyze them to unlock the Workbench in Grounded 2.

If you don’t know how to chop down grass, simply press and hold E on your keyboard. After that press E again to “nab” one of the grass planks and take it back to the resource analyzer.
At the analyzer, press E again to analyze the grass plank, and you’ll end up with the Workbench crafting recipe. To craft a workbench you’ll need 3x, grass planks, 4x sprigs, and 2x sap.
The resources needed to craft a Workbench in Grounded 2 are easy to find. You should already have sprigs and grass planks, or at least know where to find them. Sap is the brown orbs you see attached to wood and roots.
