Hell is Us: How to Solve Jova Vitalis Home Puzzle (Door Puzzle)

Vitalis’s basement puzzle is one of those that is crucial if you want to continue your Hell is Us adventure. The puzzle in itself ain’t that hard, just a bit confusing as the game doesn’t give you many hints.

You are required to investigate Vitalis Home in Java Village and place 3 photos in the basement. If you are also struggling, don’t worry, as this guide is all you need to complete the Vitalis Home puzzle.

Hell Is Us: How to Open the Door in Vitalis’ House

The first step is to find Victor and get the key to his house. He has been captured by the ON convey and is being kept in a tunnel lit by red lights. Go to the Jova Village and keep heading northeast and cross the swamp.

There you will find the tunnel which I just mentioned. Make sure you are prepared to fight, as this place features a ton of Hollow enemies.

Keep going deeper into the tunnel until you find a small door leading to the maintenance room. There, talk to Victor and take the keys to his house. Head back to Jova Village and open his house.

All Photo Locations

Now, you need to gather 3 photos. Here’s how to get all of them:

First Photo: Enter the front door and enter the child’s room. To the left, you will find a glowing item. Collect it, and you will get a picture of a child in a green boxcar.

2nd Photo: This item can be found on a small side table in one of the back rooms. It will emit a yellow light. Collect it, and you will get a photo of a couple standing in front of a red car.

3rd Photo: Head downstairs towards the basement area. You will see a number 13 on its side. Keep going, and you will see a locked chest to the right. This can be opened with your Heirloom Necklace. Select the necklace from your item list to open the chest. You will obtain a photo of a mother and child playing with a red toy car.

Now that you have all the pictures, head down the ladder into the basement. There you will find a large room, requiring you to place the pictures you just collected in the order below:

Young Couple (32)
Mother and Son (17)
Boy in a Green Car (13)

Each picture will have a number on the car, except for the last one. The last number was the one on the green boxcar, which you encountered while coming downstairs. Combining all of them will give you the Vitalis Basement Door Code, which will be 321713. Enter this code into the keypad on the side of the door to unlock the basement door.

Note: The picture of the boy in the car doesn’t have a number, but you can find the car in the basement, The number on the car is 13.
