If you played the original Titan Quest than you may be wondering how the new Attribute System is different from the first game. All attributes in Titan Quest 2 are linked to each other in more than one way. In this guide, we will explain everything you need to know about how attributes work and what they do in Titan Quest 2.

Attributes and How they Work in Titan Quest 2
Attributes are what influence your combat effectiveness with specific damage types and your ability to equip certain gear types.
For example, Might deals with physical damage and heavy gear use while Knowledge will increase your elemental damage and mana. Meanwhile, Vigor is an attribute that increase health.
All of this work through AP aka Attribute Points in Titan Quest 2 that are different from Divinity Points. You earn Attribute Points with leveling up and completing quests, and then these points are invested into Attributes.
Attributes in Titan Quest 2 encourage hybrid builds that match your mastery choices and preferred play style by focusing on linked attributes and their secondary effects in the game.
Attributes are divided into two types, main and secondary.
Main Attributes
- Might (Lion Icon): Measures power and aggression; increases physical damage and allows equipping heavy armor and weapons.
- Knowledge (Owl Icon): Reflects expertise and insight; increases elemental and vitality damage, mana regeneration, and allows equipping magical gear.
- Vigor (Bull Icon): Represents health and tenacity; increases base health and survivability.
- Agility (Dolphin Icon): Indicates speed and finesse; affects attack speed and finesse-based damage types (like piercing and bleeding).
Secondary Attributes
These are combinations of two Main Attributes:
- Cunning (Knowledge + Agility): Boosts poison and lightning damage.
- Fitness (Agility + Might): Boosts strike and piercing damage.
- Resolve (Might + Knowledge): Boosts fire and cold damage.
The core stats of your character impact by the Main attributes while the secondary attributes are altered by Passives from the Masteries in Titan Quest 2.
