Assigning the right jobs to your tribesmen after recruitment is your job as the head of the table in Soulmask. The most important part of assigning jobs is to check the proficiencies to tribesmen to make sure you assign them on the right job.

How To Check Tribesmen Proficiencies

Press I to open your Clan page, where you’ll see all your current tribesmen. Click on the small book icon next to the tribesman’s name labeled “Go to Proficiency.”

The proficiency page shows all the skills your tribesmen have in production, crafting, and combat. Higher-level characters generally have better proficiencies.

  • Production and Crafting Skills: Logging, Harvest, Weaving, Wood & Stone, Kiln, Alchemy, Weapon Crafting, Mining, Plant, Potting, Leatherworking, Craftsman, Cooking, Armor Crafting.
  • Combat Skills: Spear, Shield, Dual-blade, Great Sword, Blade, Bow, Gauntlets, Hammer.

As tribesmen perform tasks, they become more proficient. You can choose extra bonus effects for each skill as they reach reward levels:

  • Bonus Effects: Increased speed, output, or reduced stamina cost.
  • How to Assign: Click on each skill and select an effect for each level shown at the bottom right of the screen.

How To Assign Jobs To Tribemen

Once you know your tribesmen’s strengths and weaknesses, it is time to assign them to the right jobs. Approach the tribesman and hold E to open the menu. Select navigate to the Tribesman Work Assignment menu.

Press the “+” button to add a new work assignment. Choose the work type, location, and goal. Optionally, set limits on the number of items and storage locations.

Tip: Send tribesmen for dangerous missions and explorations. Be cautious as deployed tribesmen can die. End deployment at any time to send them back to camp.
