The Relic system in Elden Ring Nightreign is one of the most frustrating experiences to have if you don’t know how to change the color of the slot to match the relic.
By default you are limited to colored slots are offered by the game. This then makes it hard to match the Relic Color with the Slot you have, basically putting an end to your build customization efforts. Since you can’t use Strong Relics, you’ll end up dead most of the time against stronger enemies.
Thankfully, after going through the frustrations myself I was able to find the solution to this problem. This guide will explain everything you need to know on how to chance Relic Slot Color in Elden Ring Nightreign.
How to Match Relic and Relic Slot Color in Elden Ring Nightreign
The way to change the colored Relic slots for every class in Elden Ring Nightreign is to head over to the Small Jar Bazaar. Each class has its own special goblet that you need to buy. This item allows you to change the colored Relic Slots for each class you are playing in the game.

For example, if you buy the Revenant Class Goblet then you can only chance the color of this particular class. Another thing to note here is that you can’t access the Small Jaz Bazaar shop until you take down the first expedition boss, Tricephalos.
This boss must be defeated to not just unlocking the shop but also access most of the multiplayer features in the game.
Note: Over time in Elden Ring Nightreign you will be able to get more sets of Relic Slots but until then you can only use Goblets.
The goblets come with pre-colored slots as default so full customization is not possible but they do offer a different option from the standard slots. The Small Jar Bazaar sells each class-specific goblet for 1,200 Murk. After buying one proceed to the Relic Rites area.
- Open the Relics menu.
- Select the class you purchased the goblet for.
- Click the white downward arrow located just below the colored slots.
This will toggle between:
- Guardian’s Urn – default slot layout: 1 red, 2 orange.
- Guardian’s Goblet – new slot layout: 2 blue, 1 green.
Each goblet changes which Relics you can equip, based on the slot colors.
Over time in Elden Ring Nightreign you will be able to get more sets of Relic Slots but until then you can only use Goblets.
