The puzzles of Resident Evil Requiem keep getting more challenging as you progress through the game. One of these is “The Final Puzzle”, which requires you to follow a series of steps to complete. Follow this Resident Evil 9 Requiem guide to completing The Final Puzzle easily and quickly.
RE Requiem The Final Puzzle Walkthrough
The first step will be to load up a new save file at the beginning of the Basement. Keep progressing until you reach the Processing room from the Inspection room, where you will need at least two joint plugs and the Forklift key.

Follow the conveyor belt of hanging bodies into the Processing room and wait for 15 minutes for the corpses to drop into the bloody water. This 15-minute wait seems to be related to the Subject 170 Record (file).

The file says that a 2.3 milliliter sample from the 524.3 liters of blood collected from the 115 infected was administered to Marie. This explains why we need to wait for 115 bodies to drop into the pool of blood.
Now, you will have to drain the bloody liquid and descend the ladder to initiate the meat grinder section of the Basement. Send a ton of zombies into the grinder, for which I suggest you immobilize them by shooting them in the legs. Once this section is finished, keep progressing through the Basement like normal.

After getting out of the Basement, pick up the Severed Hand from the floor and take it to one of the blood analyzers in the Care Center. Analyze it, and the computer monitor will show you a screen that says, “Let’s play,” and the code: GGC AAG AUA ACG UGU CAU.

After that, make your way to the Restroom in the West Wing and enter the first stall, where you will need to flush the toilet eight times. The reason is hidden behind the fourth page of the Investigation Report (file), where there is a photo of a corpse by a toilet with an eight written in blood. After that, backtrack to the Blood Lab to find the first letter.
It’s recommended that you save your game at a typewriter, which will be extremely helpful later on in the puzzle as you can save yourself at least an hour. By doing this, you won’t have to play through the Care Center again, you can load this save later to speed up the proces.
How to Solve the ‘Let’s play’ puzzle in Resident Evil Requiem

Head back to the Blood Lab and interact with the blood analyzer so that it opens up your inventory. You will see the first code at the bottom corner of the analyzer, which will be G = 150000000.

Go to the Hourglass in the VIP Suite and interact with it. Turn it until you can remove both screws. Now, flip the Hourglass and wait for the sand to fall to see the code, U = 380,000, inside the upper compartment.

For the next letter, you will have to enter the Private Lab and turn to the left to find Grace Ashcroft’s Blood Analysis Report (file) on the desk. Scroll to the bottom of the file to find the code: C = 4.2 ly. Now, it’s time for a little astronomy class.
Ly stands for light-years, which is the unit for distance in astronomy. Remember the astronomical symbols (Sun, Moon, and Star) you saw in the Care Center? We will have to put the symbols and their respective letters together.
- Considering the Sun is 150 million kilometers away from the Earth, it will be a G.
- As the Moon is 380,000 kilometers away from the Earth, it will be U.
- For the Star, the closest one (Proxima Centauri), is 4.2 light-years away from the Earth, meaning that the star is C.
Let’s not talk about A for now and focus on getting Marie’s Doll while escaping the Research Facility.
Getting the Marrie’s Doll in Resident Evil Requiem
Keep progressing through the Research Facility, and you will eventually reach the evacuation sequence. Go through the Emergency Evacuation Route door, and you will make it to a roomful of blister heads and the giant red orb.

Enter the room, and you will reach the stairs, with Marie’s Doll on the floor. Grab that and progress until you defeat the Tyrant in Raccoon City Center.

Once you have defeated the Tyrant in Raccoon City Center as Leon, make your way to the basketball court, where you will find the head of something. You will have to push the head through the basketball hoop on the floor, and interact with it, which will make Leon say, “There’s no time for playing around.“

After unlocking the door in the basketball court, head to the mall room just north of Gun Shop Kendo, where you will find a headless figure. Interact with it, which will make Leon say, “Just ignore A.”
This obviously means that there’s no need for the ‘A’, which leaves us with GGC GUC GUG UCU. Upon translating it, you will get Sun Sun Star — Sun Moon Star — Sun Moon Sun — Moon Star Moon. Everything is ready now, and you will just have to finish this playthrough. For a quicker ending, you will have to choose the “destroy Elpis” option
Completing the Final Puzzle Challenge in Resident Evil 9 Requiem
Complete the playthrough with Marie’s Doll in your inventory and load up your save from earlier. Make your way to an item box to find Marie’s Doll inside. You will already have the Severed Hand and Marie’s Doll in your inventory, so you will be able to pick up Emily. Go to the blood analyzer in the Blood Lab with Emily in hand to analyze the Severed Hand again. After that, go to the Lead Researcher’s Office and input the code (Sun Sun Star — Sun Moon Star — Sun Moon Sun — Moon Star Moon) into the puzzle box.

If you did everything right, you would hear a child giggle and complete “The Final Puzzle” challenge.
