If you have completed Grounded 2 early access and wondering what to do next, there is plenty to do so nothing to worry about. One of the first things I recommend doing is crafting the Snail Shell Armor set in Grounded 2. It is one of the best endgame gear available right now, a powerful armor set designed for tanky builds.
While Tier 3 harvesting isn’t available yet, you can still collect enough snail shell fragments to craft the full set. Before we start, I want to make it clear that this armor requires Snail Shell Fragments and that resource requires a bit of a grind. It can not be farmed because tier 3 tools aren’t in the game yet. What we are going to use a fixed fragment locations in the game to build our Snail Shell Armor set in Grounded 2.
How to Unlock Tier 3 Snail Shell Armor in Grounded 2
Before you can craft the entire armor set you first need to unlock the crafting recipe, This is done by analyzing Garden Snail Fragments. At any Resource Analyzer.
The armor set is made up of three parts:
- Snail Shell Casque
- Snail Shell Plastron
- Snail Shell Greaves
How to Craft Snail Shell Casque
Snail Shell Casque is the head part of the armor. It is described as a “tough and sturdy helmet” to protect your noggin. The following is the Snail Shell Casque:
- 3x Garden Snail Fragment
- 2x Garden Snail Eyestalk
- 2x Lingonberry Leather
Garden Snail Fragments, as I said, earlier are the hardest to find but most of them are fond inside chests at the giant statue. Most chests you open in that facility have 2-3 Garden Snail Fragments inside them. Farm this location the first chance you get, and you’ll have enough crafting materials for the entire armor set.
How to Craft Snail Shell Plastron
Snail Shell Plastron is the chest piece of the Snail Shell Armor set. It requires You need the following crafting materials for it:
- 5x Garden Snail Fragment
- 5x Acid Gland
- 4x Lingonberry Leather
How to Craft Snail Shell Greaves
The final piece of the Snail Shell Armor set is the Snail Shell Greaves. To craft Snail Shell Greaves you need the following crafting materials;
- 4x Garden Snail Fragment
- 2x Silk Rope
- 3x Lingonberry Leather

Where to Find Garden Snail Fragments in Grounded 2
There are 12 Garden Snail Fragments at the giant Statue facility and then another 5 at the Ranger Outpost: Statue. In total, you get 17 Garden Snail Fragments at these locations, more than enough to craft the Tier 3 Snail Shell Armor set in Grounded 2.
