Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA) is a commonly used anti-aliasing method in games. While this method does clean the game of most jagged edges, a majority of PC gamers are not a fan of this technique. Dune Awakening uses TAA as its primary anti-aliasing method, but does not give any option to disable it. Here is how you can disable TAA in Dune Awakening.
How to Fix Blurry Graphcis in Dune Awakening
The reason a majority of the PC community doesn’t like using TAA in games is that it leaves the overall image looking soft or blurry. As stated, Dune Awakening uses this anti-aliasing method but has no option in the settings menu to disable it. However, there is a workaround for that. Here is how you can disable TAA in the game:
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Paste %userprofile%\AppData\Local\DuneSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsClient in the address bar and press Enter.
- Open the “Engine.ini” file in Notepad, and add the following text at the bottom of the file:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.40
r.TemporalAAFilterSize=0.1
r.TemporalAASamples=1 - Save the changes.
- Play Dune Awakening, and the TAA will be disabled.
The above method will remove TAA from the game. Also, see our guide on How to Skip Intro Video and Funcom Launcher in Dune Awakening. If you are experiencing errors and crashes in games, also see our fixes hub for commonly occurring errors for PC and handhelds.
