Grounded 2 has launched on Steam as part of the Early Access program, like the first game. Since the game is in active development, there are bound to be issues and missing features in the game, like Broken Bluetooth audio or missing HDR support. Another feature Grounded 2 is missing is support for AMD FSR. Here is how you can enable FSR in the game.

How Do I Use AMD FSR in Grounded 2?

The game does support FSR 1.0, but it’s hidden. You can enable FSR in Grounded 2 by tweaking its config file, which is one of the advantages of Unreal Engine games.

You can also enable HDR in the game or turn off Depth of Field by tweaking the config files. Here is how you can enable AMD FSR in the game:

  • Go to C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Augusta\Saved\Config\WinGRTS
  • Alternatively, you can paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Augusta\Saved\Config\WinGRTS in Windows Explorer and press Enter.
  • Open the Engine.ini file in Notepad or any text editor.
  • If the file is not there, then create a new text file and save it as Engine.ini.
  • Paste the following in the “Engine.ini” file and save changes.
    [/script/engine.renderersettings]
    r.FidelityFX.FSR.Enabled=1
    r.FidelityFX.FSR.Sharpness=1.0
    r.TemporalAA.Upsampling=1
    r.ScreenPercentage=80
    r.AntiAliasingMethod=2
    r.DynamicResolution.Enable=0
  • After saving the changes, close Engine.ini and right-click it, and select “properties”
  • Check the “Read-only” option at the bottom, and apply the change.
  • Launch Grounded 2, and it will run with FSR 1.0 enabled.

The r.ScreenPercentage determines the quality of FSR. If you set it to 100, Grounded 2 will run at native resolution. Lower its value to reduce the rendering resolution, and FSR will upscale it to your display’s native resolution with better performance. You can also tweak r.FidelityFX.FSR.Sharpness to increase or decrease sharpness.
