Monster Hunter Wilds has a new character creation system that allows you to create and share codes for your character designs with others. The system is pretty similar to the one we had in Dragon’s Dogma 2 last year.
These design codes let you adopt all the painstakingly-wrought appearances for your Hunter and Palico without needing to configure dozens of sliders yourself.
It works with 12-character alphanumeric strings that consolidate all info needed to rebuilt specific designs for characters.
How to Enter character Creator Codes in Monster Hunter Wilds
Start a new game or use an character edit voucher to access the full character editor in the game. When you are in the character creator, slide to the the design that is represented by a notepad like icon.

Scroll down to the Download Design option where you can enter the code. This will load up the design linked to that code which you can then save for yourself.
You can find such designs under the Save/Load > Design menu.
How to Create and Share Character Codes in Monster Hunter Wilds
In Monster Hunter Wilds, the character creator code system has become even simpler, exporting your Hunter or Palico design is done over a 12-character alphanumeric code that can be sent to PQJ542,494733 or friends and can be imported (import codes only work for code of the same type).
Create your Hunter or Palico during the character creation process or use a Character Edit Voucher (Hunter) or Palico Edit Voucher (companion) to change any of your current designs. These vouchers are bought or claimed in the Support Desk.

From character creation/edit screen open Design tab. Pick Save/Load and select an empty save slot (10 slots max). Click confirm to keep your current design setup.
Hover over your saved design slot and scroll down by hitting the Sub-Menu (button prompt differs by platform).

Choose Upload Design → verify to produce a specific 12-digit code. Example code (e.g., DA54737R7Y47 for a Gigachad design) will then display on the screen.
Codes work cross-platform (PC, PS5, Xbox). Share them via:
- Social media (Twitter, Reddit)
- Discord communities
- Gaming forums like the Monster Hunter subreddit
- YouTube/Twitch descriptions (for content creators)
How to Remove Character Creation Code in Monster Hunter Wilds

You will be able to remove any designs you’ve uploaded, but you’ll either have to create a new character and palico at the beginning of a new game, or apply a Character Edit Voucher or Palico Edit Voucher to your existing save file.
To remove a design, go to the third line of the sub-menu called ‘Save/Load’ from the Design Menu and click on ‘View/Delete Uploads’. The design’s code will be visible and you’ll have to hit ‘Yes’ to indicate that you wish to delete both the upload and its relevant code.
