There are many methods to farm Gold galleons including:
- Sell your Items to get Gold
- From Eye Chest
- Fram Beasts
- From Encampments
#1: Sell Your Items to Get Gold

#2: From Eye Chest ( Maximum Gold )
One of the best ways to get maximum gold is to open the eye chest. But the question is how to open the Eye chest in Hogwarts Legacy because as soon as you approach the eye chest, the shuts close because of your presence.

How to Open Eye Chest In Hogwarts Legacy
To open this eye chest, first unlock the Disillusionment Charm. The Disillusionment Charm will unlock by completing the main quest ” Secrets of the Restricted Sections” along with Sebastian Sallow.

Once Disillusionment Charm is unlocked, you just need to approach an eye chest using Disillusionment Charm. Once you are invisible, you can easily open the eye chest and get 500 Gold galleons from each eye chest.
Basically, the idea is to become invincible so the eye can’t see you coming.
#3: Sell the Beast to get Gold
Another method that you can use to get gold galleons is by selling your baests at Brood and Peck for 120 galleons each. You can farm them as well as you can capture them from different locations.

How to Capture a Beast
To capture any beast from the map, you need a Nab-Sack. To get Nab-Sack in Hogwarts Legacy, reach level 15 and finish the main quest “The Helm of Urtkot“.
After meeting those requirements, head to the Room of Requirements and speak to Deek. Now start the Main Quest: The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom. After that, you and Deek will reach Puffskein Den.
Next, assign the Nab-Sack tool to your spell wheel. Your first task will be to capture Puffleskin by aiming at the animal until the circle completes. Once the circle is complete, you will be able to capture the magical creature.
You can use this same method to capture any beast in Hogwarts Legacy.
In Hogwarts Legacy, all magical beasts, regardless of species, rarity, or whether they are shiny; sell for a fixed price of 120 Galleons each. This uniform pricing applies across the board, from common creatures like Puffskeins to rare ones like Unicorns and Graphorns .
Beast Name | Sell Price (Galleons) |
---|---|
Diricawl | 120 |
Fwooper | 120 |
Giant Purple Toad | 120 |
Graphorn | 120 |
Hippogriff | 120 |
Jobberknoll | 120 |
Kneazle | 120 |
Mooncalf | 120 |
Niffler | 120 |
Puffskein | 120 |
Thestral | 120 |
Unicorn | 120 |
Tip
As the animal creatures move fast when you approach them its best to use “Glacius Spell ” to immobilize them for a while.
#4: From Encampments
Last but not least, the bandit encampments are also a source of Gold galleons to get items in Hogwarts Legacy. Although it’s a bit difficult method because you have to fight enemies from level 1 to higher ones. Not just Gold, you also get other resource material as loot from these encampments.
