Developed by Battlefield Studios, Battlefield 6 is currently one of the most popular FPS games, which runs on the Frostbite engine.

Well, players’ experience with the Frostbite engine isn’t that great, which we can tell from the numerous issues and errors with EA Sports FC 26. Both of these games run on the same engine and don’t fail to frustrate players with problems.

Lately, players have been experiencing visual issues with Battlefield 6, OLED users, to be more precise. In this guide, I will tell you how to fix the poor visibility issues on OLED monitors in Battlefield 6.

Battlefield 6 Visibility Issues on OLED Fixed

Reports claim that Battlefield 6 is not performing well visually on OLED monitors. The game annoys players with washed-out colors, over-saturation, delayed dark-to-light transitions, and poor enemy visibility. This can be pretty disadvantageous for a competitive game, so fixing this issue is a must. Follow this guide to fix Battlefield 6 visibility issues on OLED Monitors.

Fix #1: Disable Windows HDR

To enhance the visual experience of the user, Windows comes with a feature called HDR (High Dynamic Range). It provides a wider range of brightness and colors, which makes the images more detailed and vibrant. However, that’s the root cause of the Battlefield 6 visual issues. You will have to disable it to fix the issue. Follow my lead:

  • Right-click on the desktop and open Display Settings
  • Scroll to HDR and turn it off.
  • Launch Battlefield 6, and the issue will be resolved.

Fix #2: Disable SOVIS

Disabling SOVIS in the game’s settings has seemed to work for several players and should work for you as well. Follow my lead:

  • Open Battlefield 6 and go to Settings.
  • In the HUD tab, find the SOVIS filter setting.
  • Turn it off, launch the game, and the visual issues will be fixed on your OLED.

Fix #3: Tweak the PROFSAVE_profile file

For this fix, you have to make your way to C:\Users\your name\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings\steam and find the PROFSAVE_profile file. Here’s what do after finding the file:

  • Open it in a text editor and search for GstRender.Contrast.
  • Change the value to 0.70.
  • You will have GstRender.Contrast 0.700000 as the result.
  • Save as read only and restart the game.

Play Battlefield 6, and the visual issues will be fixed on your OLED monitors.

Fix #4: Change Pixel Format (For AMD GPUs)

This one is for our AMD GPU users. If you have an AMD graphics card, you will need to do the following steps to fix the Battlefield 6 visual issues. Follow my lead:

  • Open AMD Adrenalin and go to Settings> Display.
  • Find the Pixel Format setting and set it to RGB 4:4:4 Pixel Format Studio (Limited RGB)
  • Launch Battlefield 6, and the issue will be resolved.

Recomended OLED Monitor/TV Settings

  • Picture Mode: Game Optimizer / HDR Game.
  • OLED Light/Brightness: 100.
  • Peak Brightness: High.
  • Contrast: 85-100.
  • Black Level/Stabilizer: 20-50 (lifts shadows without graying blacks).
  • Gamma: 2.2-2.4 (brighter shadows).
  • Dynamic Tone Mapping: HGiG or Off (prevents clipping).
  • Disable: Energy Saving, TruMotion, Smart Energy.
  • NVIDIA/AMD Panel: Increase Digital Vibrance/Saturation +10-20% for pop.

And that should fix the Battlefield 6 visual issues on your OLED monitors. I have noticed that visual issues are mostly experienced by OLED users. All we can do is hope the games’ develope start caring for their OLED players too. I hope that this guide has helped you.
