Gathering Copper Ore, a common resource in Arrakis, is the first step towards crafting Copper Ingots. The copper ore is the most concentrated in Hagga Basin South which is filled with mineral-rich rocky areas. When traveling through Hagga Basin, keep an eye out for blue veins and small, glowing blue ore pieces strewn across the landscape and within the rugged terrain.
In this guide, we will go through everything you need to know on how to get copper ore and then copper ingot in Dune Awakening.
How to Get Copper Ingot in Dune Awakening
Here are the two best locations for farming copper:
Located near the center of the map, South of the Wreck of the Alycon has two close together rocky areas that yield high amounts of copper ores.
Old Griffin Hideaway is also located East and West of Wreck of Alycon. It is yet another very good location that has many rocky outcrops filled with copper ore.
These two locations alongside other copper ore farming places make these locations perfect for farming runs because copper ore nodes respawn approximately every ten minutes. You can travel to the two hot spots, complete a full cycle of harvesting, and the copper ore nodes will have respawned.
You can gather Copper Ore by collecting small surface pieces. But for gathering large amounts, the Cutteray Tool, which enables more industrial level ores extraction from rock formations, is required.
Stockpiled Copper Ore needs to be converted into usable copper ingots through refining, this step requires an ore refinery. Rest assured, the refiners come in different sizes (small, medium, and large) which increases the speed and efficiency.
To build a Small Ore Refinery, you’ll need:
- 1 Intel Point
- 90 Salvaged Metal
- 15 Power to operate
In about 5 seconds, the small ore refinery will convert 4 Copper Ore into 1 Copper Ingot. Once you interact and deposit copper ore, the process begins. It is possible to increase efficiency by upgrading to medium and large refiners, these provide better ratios for ore to ingot conversion.

- Medium Ore Refinery: 3 Copper Ore per Ingot, better than small version.
- Large Ore Refinery: 2 Copper Ore to 1 Ingot, 3-second cycle.
Bulk producing requires investment on higher tier refineries which pay off quickly.
Alternate Method
If crafting isn’t your thing, you can always go to the Exchange and trade Copper Ingots with other players. Prices depend on the server you are playing in but this is the fastest way to get Copper Ingot.
