Hunger becomes a problem in Grounded 2, especially if you are constantly out exploring for resources and hunting down creatures. If you’re tired of hunting for food in Grounded 2, then there’s one item that makes a massive difference to your survival experience; the Everlasting Hogstopper.
It is one of the trinkets in the game, a rare one at that.
The Everlasting Hogstopper is a rare trinket that automatically regenerates your hunger bar over time, eliminating the need to eat. Yes, you read that right, your hunger will refill on its own as long as this trinket is equipped. You can think of it like an infinite food generation gold mine. When equipped, your hunger bar starts to refill over time without the need to do anything like eating food.
No more scavenging for food which makes it a huge quality of life improvement for players like myself.
While it’s not meant for combat, the Everlasting Hogstopper shines during downtime:
- Base building
- Exploring with Buggy (your bug companion)
- Resource gathering
- Idle moments or passive tasks
Some say The Everlasting Hogstopper Trinket works when you’re sleeping too, but I’m yet to test that out myself.
How to Get Everlasting Hogstopper in Grounded 2
The trinket appears to drop randomly from looting hot dog pieces also known as Billy Dogs, typically found in the starting area. The drop is fully RNG based and some user report that beating the Cockroach Queen also drops it. But breaking part the Billy Hogs require a Tier 2 Omni axe.
Without it, you won’t be able to harvest the pieces and trigger the trinket drop.
The Everlasting Hogstopper trinket is a massive quality of life improvement in Grounded 2 but finding it is a bit of a pain. Go after as many Hot Dogs as you can to find for a higher chance of finding it.
