As you progress and gather materials in Starsand Island, you will eventually feel the need to mine gold ore. However, you might have realized that you can’t mine it with your Impulse Pickaxe. But the thing is, you can’t actually mine it with any pickaxe, no matter which one you upgrade to. You will have to get an Impact Hammer to mine the Gold Ore. In this StarSand Island, I will take you through how you can craft the Impact Hammer and mine Gold Ores.
How to Craft the Impact Hammer in Starsand Island
To craft the Impact Hammer, you will need the Worktable II, the blueprint from Zerine’s General Store, and the ingredients below:
- 4 Iron Sheets
- 3 Bronze
- 4 Hardwood Planks
- 2 Radiant Crystals
- 1 Impulse Pickaxe
Now that you have the Impact Hammer, go to the Gold Ore and hit the ground by the nodes. Also, the hammer deals damage in an area, so you can mine multiple nodes at once if they’re close together.
Where to Find Gold Ores in Starsand Island?
That’s all and good, but where are you going to get the Gold Ores to mine? You can only find Gold in Moonlit Forest. This place can be unlocked at the beginning of the crafter main quests by meeting Zephyria and getting a Slingshot.
You can find Gold around the Crystalith Hideout area. Go deeper in the Moonlit Forest to find more. For crafting Gold Ingots, you will need to make sure you have Coal and a Furnace, just like getting the Iron Ingots. You can find Coal in the same areas where you can get Gold, so you won’t have a problem with locating that.
