Hyper Light Breaker allows you to farm Golden Rations and the best way to get them fast is increasing your progression through Cycles and exploration of high-rewards areas of the game.

A Cycle in Hyper Light Breaker ends when all 4 Rezes (Lives) or beat the final boss. In each Cycle rewards will reset including the Golden Rations based on your performance.

How to Farm Golden Rations in Hyper Light Breaker

#1: Complete Cycles Faster

Anyone looking to get more Golden Rations must prioritize high-score actions like taking down bosses, unlocking shops, and explorations.

If struggling with bosses, intentionally end Cycles by dying repeatedly to trigger resets and earn Golden Rations faster in the early game.

At the end of each cycle sell your outdated gear to get Bright Blood and Materials for reactivating the Overgrowth in Hyper Light Breaker. You can then reset the Cycle via the Telepad in the hub to start a brand-new cycle with upgraded rewards.

#2: Farm Hidden Labs

Find glowing silver/purple trapdoor platforms in the Overgrowth. These labs are locked and require Keys (found in chests) to access.

While labs have tougher enemies for you to deal with, they offer guaranteed loot including Golden Rations in chests (some require Bright Blood to open). I suggest you team up in online co-op to handle Labs more easily.

#3: Target Chests Near Prisms

Golden diamond icons on the map represent Prisms and these Prisms are guarded by high-level enemies and sometimes have nearby chests that contain Golden Rations.

However, you need to use Bright Blood (earned from enemies/crates) to unlock these chests.

I recommend you focus on clearing Prism areas early in runs to secure rewards before risking Rezes.

#4: Extract Early to Preserve Progress

When you have Golden Rations, it is not a bad idea to get out of there. Go for early extraction rather than risking death. Head to the Telepad Exists after minimal combat for two reasons:

  1. Retain Rezes for future runs.
  2. Accumulate Cycle progress toward Golden Ration rewards without resetting

However, before you end a cycle make sure to unequip valuable gear to avoid durability loss.

#5: Improve Vendor Relationships

I found that improving your relationships with Vendors is better in the long run of your goal is to get more Golden Rations and discounts on your purchases.

Gift Golden Rations to vendors and while this doesn’t directly farm Rations, it saves resources for future runs.

Target vendors who offer Medkit capacity upgrades because will increase your survivability in each Cycle.
