Getting Iron in Starsand Island
Iron is needed to create Iron Ingots, which are really useful for crafting various items, including upgrading your Cutter I to a Cutter II. To get Iron in Starsand Island, make your way to the Dreamfall Garden area of Moonlit Forest. Here you can find Iron Ore deposits in the area between Dreamfall Garden and Crystalith Hideout.
You might confuse Iron with Tin, as they are very similar to Tin. But remember, the Iron growing out of them is slightly darker grey. Still confused? Walk over to the boulder and make sure your Pickaxe is equipped. A label should appear on the rock when you’re close enough.
For players who haven’t reached the Dreamfall Garden, you will need to progress to the fourth area of the Moonlit Forest. Here, you are required to get a Slingshot with a few Small pellets and shoot down a broken wall to open the next area. After finishing that, you will get access to the Dreamfall Garden.
How to Get Iron Ingots In Starsand Island?
Now that you have the Iron, you can get Iron Ingots. But first, you will have to ensure that you have Furnace II unlocked. That requires you to at least progress with Zerina until you unlock the Workshop II and Furnace II blueprints. It’s pretty simple: get some Starsand Points, finish the crafting quests from Zerina, and unlock the next tier blueprints from her shop.
You have now unlocked the Furnace II, which will let you craft either one from the Workbench or go to an existing Furnace I, interact with it, and select the “Upgrade” button next to its name. You can also now crafft thing like Iron Ingots, Gold Ingots, Magnets, Alloys, and more.
